WOLASTOQI ARTISTS PARTNER WITH ATLANTIC BALLET TO CREATE "TRANSFORMATIVE" PRODUCTION

Jeremy Dutcher and Possesom Paul, 2 young Wolastoqi artists have began a three year project with the Atlantic Ballet Theatre to create a "TRANSFORMATIVE" production. They are hoping this is another step forward in sharing their culture.

The partnership with artistic director, Igor Dobrovolskiy, was brought about, he says, by an elder, Maggie Paul, who explained to him how they could blend the  "colonial ballet style" with Indigenous art to create something new and beautiful.
